From the Pastor…

Patty and I would like to personally invite you to spend a Sunday morning with us at Christian Life Center.  We believe that you deserve a church that is passionate, vibrant, and truly Spirit filled.  With the pressures of life and the hectic pace of the times in which we live, you need a church that is a sanctuary. Jeff_Patty2You need a sanctuary from the storms of life and a place of peace to find shelter when the wind blows. That is what you will find when you step into the sanctuary of Christian Life Center. Every Sunday morning there will be a group of believers that gather in our prayer room before the service begins praying that you will be blessed by the presence of God from the moment you walk in.

We Promise…

An exciting worship service where expressive worship is the norm.  You will see hands lifted in honor to God during our worship.  You will hear men, women, and teens raise their voices in choruses of praise to a God we love so passionately.

  • Preaching that declares the truth, speaks to needs of men and women who are hurting, broken, and seeking after God.  Preaching that presents the gospel in an interesting format.
  • People that are friendly and welcoming.  People that are truly concerned about others and demonstrate that concern with prayers and kind words.
  • Sunday School teachers that have a deep seated love for children and have a desire to see children taught the truth of God’s Word in illustrative and exciting methods.

A little about me…

I have been married to my childhood sweetheart since 1981 and we have three great kids! I serve under the guidance and mentorship of our Senior Pastor Lewis Long who is also my father.  My father has pastored for over forty years and has been involved in church leadership at the district level for thirty of those years.  I have been in the ministry for thirty years serving several years as an assistant to my father and seven years pastoring.  I am a graduate of ECPI University located in Raleigh, NC. and my major was Information Technology. I truly love the people that I serve and stay actively involved not only in pulpit ministry but also in teaching home bible studies.  Our home bible study ministry has been a key factor in the growth of CLC and it is something I find very rewarding, sharing the gospel in the homes of individuals who want to know more about the Bible and truth.

About CLC…

Christian Life Center is a Bible-based Pentecostal church. We are a culturally diverse church consisting of wonderful and friendly people who love God and seek to express that love through service, dedication, and heart-felt worship.  Our worship consists of Pentecostal style singing blended with contemporary and traditional songs and worship choruses.

Based on Scripture, we believe the following . . .

Fundamental Doctrine

We believe and teach the same message in regards to salvation that Peter preached on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:38) and that Paul preached as illustrated at Ephesus. (Acts 19:1-6)

About the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

About God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

About Sin and Salvation

Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

About the Gospel

The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again.

About Christian Living

As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully.

About the Future

Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15
